|
All stationary refrigeration systems must have regular inspections to minimise leaks (by competent person)

Systems must be checked AGAIN 1 month after the system has been repaired for leaks.

| Record Keeping |
|
Operators must maintain (site) records
for all systems with 3 kg or more
|
|
- type and quantity of gas installed
- quantities added or recovered during service
- records available for inspection (by EA & Commission).

| Training Qualifications |
|
Refrigeration engineers MUST be qualified
to either
|
|
- City & Guilds 2078
- CITB Safe Handling of Refrigerants
|
|
To comply with this legislation,
work is being undertaken to ensure that refrigerant gases are only supplied to bona fide refrigeration and air conditioning engineers holding open accounts.

Refrigeration systems must be labelled to
identify the amount and contents of
refrigerants.

| Disposables |
|
The manufacture of disposable cylinders
is banned from 4th July 2007, and once
all stocks have been depleted, users of
this product will need to transfer to using
returnable / refillable cylinders
